About
Me

Twelve years ago, I met an extraordinary
pranic healer who also happened to be a medical
doctor. She scanned my body with the palm of
her left hand for about half an hour, while I
read a book, and then she proceeded to tell me
all about my life!! She was dead accurate about
everything. Only one thing did not make sense
to me at the time: she informed me that I had a
big hole in my energy field at the heart level,
undoubtedly, she thought, because I had had a
very hard life. This came as a total shock to
me. I had what people in those days referred to
as “having it all.”
I had a brilliant, funny,
gorgeous French husband who, after 22
years of marriage, still treated me with
passionate love and devotion. Our closest
friends who saw us interact often,
thought it was a miracle that time had
not eroded our relationship. I had a
dream job in the Canadian government – a
job usually reserved for well connected
male executives. I worked with
intellectual giants, who knew how to have
fun as well. We lived in my dream house
in a virtual forest of mature trees in
Toronto, with our two perfect children
and a live-in housekeeper. I was a hub of
several networks of friends and
associates from governments,
corporations, professional associations,
academia and social activist circles
around the world. Our two sons were
brilliant, beautiful and socially well
adjusted. We entertained and took exotic
vacations often. I wore designer clothes
which I bought in Paris and New York
every year. We all enjoyed good health.
There was enough money to live as we
pleased. We always had some exciting
project or success story to be ecstatic
about. My friends thought I had the best
of all possible worlds. They literally
had me coach them so they could set their
lives up the way I had set up
mine.
How could this be called a
terrible life? Yet the energy analysis
was accurate in all its detail about all
other issues. In spite of the fact that
the hole in my heart (energetically
speaking) did not make any sense to me, I
was completely blown away by the Energy
analysis and I became one of this
doctor’s most devoted fans, promoters and
students. I learned much about the Energy
that flows through the human body, how it
works, how it can be applied to every day
life and how it can be modified and
balanced.
Around this time, I quit my
privileged government job and went back
to graduate school to rethink my position
on just about everything in the world, in
light of my encounter with Bio-Energy.
Given my public policy background, I did
my doctoral research at York University
where I also taught applied ethics. I
devoured everything I could get my hands
on about bio-energy in physics,
microbiology, chemistry, linguistics,
neuroscience and eastern medicine until I
got to the point of diminishing returns
in my research.
I attended workshops with the
leading edge healers and thinkers from
around the world who were developing
their own approaches to researching and
understanding bio-energy and subjected
their theories and practical knowledge to
the litmus tests of the scientific
method. Much turned out to be conjecture
or plain marketing. Many of the scholars
and healers I met influenced me greatly.
I organized week-end retreats and
workshops to share my learning with my
friends and associates. I devoted myself
full time, to developing a reliable and
effective approach to restoring the
body’s energy flow for the people in my
orbit – at first on a friendly and
experimental basis, and later,
professionally.
My interdisciplinary doctoral
research focused on the patterns of mind
that connect our experiences and help us
make sense of our world. My thesis, as
well as my post- doctoral research were
greatly influenced by bio-energy-based
healing systems in general and Eva
Marchal’s treatment system in particular.
At first, I applied bio-energy based
techniques in my consulting practice, to
help corporations and governments develop
strategies that take into account what
modern physics tells us about the power
and impact of subtle energies. Later, I
came to realize that organizations are
simply a venue in which their members
create themselves and their contexts.
What we call professional or work life is
none other than a replay of our personal
lives in a new context with different
actors.
From the moment this realization
hit me, all of my work centered on
helping people to debunk the myths they
live by, get off the treadmill of their
familiar and move forward to wellness and
congruence with their highest potential.
If we have direct access to so much power
and so much scope for creating what we
want, why live as if we were stuck with
our circumstances?
The person I first treated with
my emerging bio-energy based protocols
was myself. As it turns out, the
Bio-Energy Doctor had been right about
the hole in my heart. My life, examined
from the perspective of my new world
view, turned out to be overly
mind-driven. It seriously lacked Heart.
Hence the hole at the Heart level of the
energy body.
Slowly, I started to allow the pieces of my
“terrible life” to enter my awareness. One by
one, I dismantled and deactivated the powerful
patterns of my early traumatic experiences:
being born in the devastation and hopelessness
of a refugee camp; struggling for food;
surviving ten years of terror under the
constant threat of torture and imprisonment by
the Hungarian communist secret police; growing
up in the shadow of a self absorbed mother and
a mostly absent and quite volatile father;
reproducing my mother’s life in my own
marriage; being an immigrant (read: undeserving
outcast) three times over and so
forth.
As soon as I found the courage
to face my Self, major shifts immediately
started to occur in my life. I started to
paint in oils (never having done any art
work, not even finger painting before).
Two years later, I held my first solo art
show. Many of my relationships with
friends and family members faded and
eventually disappeared from my life. My
story book marriage ended in a nightmare
of mutual abuse, until my first husband
and I ran out of steam and decided to go
our separate ways – but not before
inflicting terrible wounds on each other.
Tibold, a college Sweetheart and a giant
of a Heart Person, tracked me down on the
internet. We eloped in the Bahamas
(imagine me, Miss Formality eloping!) and
I followed him to Philadelphia, Fort
Lauderdale, Costa Rica and Las Vegas. I
am now writing a book about his Zen ways.
All the seasonal and situational
annoyances of health such as flues,
bronchitis, back aches and arthritis also
disappeared from my body. In short, as my
world view and attitude changed, so did
my health, habits, structures, and
relationships and, most importantly, my
level of joy, peace and vitality.
I am not saying that I can stop working on
myself now, or that all is perfect. Far from
it. I continue to sponge up new horizons and
seek out leading edge research in neuroscience
and microbiology to increase the impact of my
treatments and bring faster and deeper lasting
health and freedom to people’s lives. I now
know that in each moment of life, we can choose
how to live that moment. have an opportunity to
decide what we shall do with that moment that
we are living. Each decision we make –
consciously, unconsciously or by default --
sets a cycle of Becoming in motion that either
supports or impedes our natural flow of Being.
Since there is only change and no stasis, we
have no choice other than the constant process
of Becoming. We may as well influence that
process, if we are going to be stuck with the
results of it. Conscious Self Creation takes
charge of our process of Becoming. That is what
I offer through what I now call Self Creation
Therapy, to those who want to be in charge of
their health, relationships, experiences and
circumstances.
Everything I have learned to
date seems to have merged into my Self
Creation Therapy practice. For the first
time in my life, my professional work is
a true reflection of my beliefs, strong
interests, skills, research findings and
experience. I love what I do and I love
seeing the quantum changes in the people
I work with.
